Conch Republic Daiquiri

I've been fooling around with daiquiri ideas for several years now, and today I came up with a new idea that I feel like could be one of my best daiquiri's ever.  I takes components from the basic daiquiri and adds touches of the Mai Tai for flavor.

The Conch Republic is a short lived country that seceded from the United States back in the mid 80's to put a point across the deaf ears of the federal government.  This is a secession from the normal way of creating the daiquiri.  Give this one a try, I think that you will like it flavor and natural sweetness.

Conch Republic Daiquiri

  • 2 oz. Yolo Silver Rum
  • 1 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Orgeat
  • 1/2 oz. Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
  • Juice of 1/2 Lime
Place all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until chilled.   Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a lime wheel and a pineapple wedge.
