Oloroso Black Tea Cooler

     Black Tea , Oloroso Finished Rum, Agave Nectar and Apricot Brandy join together for an afternoon cooler.   It is an unusual combination that is not too sweet or tart and transitions through the palate to the back of the mouth highlighting many different sensory pleasures.

     I know it is getting cold for those of you in the northern sectors, but if you like iced tea, you still get the warming of the rum to get you through.  For those of us in the tropical latitudes, it is still in the low 80's and it is really refreshing, and yummy to boot.

Oloroso Black Tea Cooler


  • 1 1/2 oz, White Rum
  • 1 1/2 oz. Abuelo Oloroso Cask Finished Rum
  • 1/2 oz. Apricot Brandy
  • 1 Bar Spoon of Agave Nectar
  • 3 oz. Pure Leaf Black Iced Tea


Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake until chilled and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.  Garnish with a lemon wedge.
